During my Christmas stay, I had an amazing experience at this authentic Japanese hotel. the staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. the best aspects of this hotel were the fabulous baths and the delicious dinner that we enjoyed in our room. the hotel is situated in a prime location, which made it easy to explore the surrounding area.
For non-Japanese speaking guests, it would have been helpful to have clearer instructions. For example, we were unaware that we were supposed to wear a Kimono for dinner, which made us feel somewhat uncomfortable.

We had an amazing weekend experiencing the traditional Japanese way of life. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable despite the language barrier. The highlight of our stay were the authentic baths which were an absolute delight to soak in. We also loved the fact that the hotel was located amidst scenic surroundings, offering breathtaking views of the natural beauty that Japan has to offer.
The lack of instructions in English for guests. We were not aware of certain customs such as wearing a kimono for dinner which made us feel a bit uneasy at first.

the onsen baths were relaxing and unique, providing an authentic Japanese experience. Although the hotel is aging, the location in the huge water fountain in the lower level provided a sense of grandeur. the rooms were clean, comfortable, and a great representation of traditional Japanese style.
The breakfast choices left something to be desired and did not cater well to vegetarian or western preferences.
